The Polistopad era was for many a period of euphoric enthusiasm for the fall of the totalitarian regime and for regained freedom. But for others, it was an opportune time to get relatively easily to fairy-tale property, money and power - especially if they were not limited by "weaknesses" such as decency, morality or conscience, and on the contrary did not hesitate to reach for any means - including murder...
