Not even after almost eighty years, which separate us from the events, the axis of which was the assassination of the former Hitler's deputy in our country, the SS killer Reinhard Heydrich, not even despite a long series of books that thoroughly deal with this supreme act of resistance on the soil of our occupied country, or they more or less touch it, not all questions are answered without fail and all the tangles of mysteries and ambiguities are unraveled. In the introduction, the experienced author of non-fiction confesses his unreserved respect for the people who never came to terms with the Munich diktat or the subsequent occupation of the rest of the crippled country, and of their own accord threw themselves into the seemingly hopeless struggle to regain their lost freedom. However, in connection with the assassination, he does not cover up the mistakes that even the bravest made, weaknesses or doubts that they did not defend against - but confronts them in a comprehensive way with the circumstances and limits of the time.
