Wandering in the inner worlds... Supay is an album with distinctive rock rhythms scented with exotic adventures around the world. The sixth full-length album reveals what the one-legged Čanki nation must go through to eradicate the evil that permeates everyday reality. The Čankišu band went into the depths of the souls of the one-legged people to bring back to the surface even the darkest parts of the Čanki nation. And because evil isn't monochromatic here either, she used a variety of musical styles and references to do so. The significantly refined sound from David Koller's COX studio lifted the band's work in an unexpected direction. Guitarist Martin Krajíček confirms that working in the studio had a great influence on the resulting sound. "The decision to make a record with Topol and shoot at COX was absolutely essential for this album. The opportunity to work with someone for whom sound is a life passion and fulfillment is a priceless experience.”
According to the ethnographic dictionary, Supay is evil in the form of an idea or a being that, like a parasite, feeds on our physical and mental suffering. It is known in many cultures by different names. We allow ourselves to be influenced by it, we become its instrument, and in doing so we open the door to our reality. By being aware of our actions, we can effectively fight against it. The less suffering exists on Earth, the sooner evil will leave our world forever.
