Harry Hole returns to Norway after three years spent in Hong Kong to take on an almost closed murder among drug addicts - the alleged perpetrator is supposed to be Oleg, the descendant of his femme fatale Ráchel, whom he loved like his own son. However, the case is more complicated than it seems at first glance, and anyone who starts to poke around in it will lose their life. It is not just about settling accounts between addicts, but about a corruption and drug case reaching the highest levels of society. Behind the scenes, however, a mysterious mobster called the Dubai, who appears and disappears like a ghost, is pulling the strings.

As with previous "holeoveks", the narration was once again performed by the excellent Hynek Čermák, who was awarded the Audiobook of the Year 2013 as Interpreter of the Year.
