What secrets does the "abandoned island" hide?

Life is a change. The Moomin family boarded a ship and moved to a new home: an island ravaged by storms and waves. Dad here would like to become a lighthouse keeper and learn all its mysteries, but since he can't bring himself to light the signal lamp, he spends his time fishing or watching the sea surface. Meanwhile, Mom misses the old valley and Moomin grows up, becomes independent and experiences first love. In a new environment, he meets charming creatures and at the same time discovers that beauty on the outside does not necessarily mean beauty on the inside. What else will they all find out about each other and what adventures will they have? Who was the previous lighthouse keeper and will that profession fulfill dad's dreams?
