Money is tight and their new home needs renovation. It is located far in the countryside of the south west of England and at the end of its garden stretches an ancient forest. Tom and his family are miles away from everyone they know. His wife, Fiona, was never convinced that buying a house at auction, which swallows up a lot of money, was a good idea. Not only because the previous owner committed suicide in it. And no one can explain why.

They barely cross the threshold and within days hostile exchanges begin with the elderly couple from the house next door. Tom's dreams of future happiness begin to fade due to escalating feuds.
