The film tells the story of the birth, life, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ (Christian Bale). The events known from the biblical account are narrated from the point of view of his mother Mary and thus acquire an unusual dimension. Thanks to the maternal bond, she shares his successes and failures with him like no one else. However, Jesus of Nazareth does not have an ordinary life's journey, but a path that leads to the greatest imaginable glory redeemed by terrible suffering.
