The book offers the opportunity to get to know the famous director through the lens of people who were lucky enough to work with him or spend some time with him across the decades of his entire life. The majority consists of the memories of Radim Kratochvíl, the half-brother of Petr and Matěj Forman and the son of the actress Věra Křesadlová-Formanová, about their more than thirty years of meeting. During that time, he had the opportunity to travel Western Europe with him on bicycles and get to know interesting places, people and gastronomy thanks to it, to experience alpine adventures and to be dazzled by America and American film, with the opportunity to watch Forman at work in the editing room. Other contributors include famous stars, people behind the scenes of well-known projects, but also a few "ordinary" friends. All of them bring interesting, previously unheard stories, supplemented by unique and mostly unpublished photographs from private archives, which approach the man Forman (hence the name Ecce homo Forman) so authentically and plastically that the reader feels as if he knows him personally. Their memories relate to different life stages and joint projects, and the narrative thus takes us from the times of childhood and youth, when Forman's personality was formed, through his Czech film beginnings to the famous American period, when he became a world-famous director and winner of two Oscars for best direction. His life story not only entertains, but also inspires as an adventurous example worth following. Because, as Miloš himself said, "it's worth it".
