Beyah can't wait to put the past behind her and embark on a journey to a better tomorrow. She is only two short months away from her dream future. Until an unexpected death leaves Beyah with nowhere to go. And so she is forced to spend the rest of the summer on a peninsula in Texas with a father she barely knows. Beyah plans to stay grounded and let the summer go smoothly, but her new neighbor Samson thwarts her plan. Samson and Beyah have nothing in common at first glance.
