A novel of two generations compares the fates of parents and their adult children, who have more favorable conditions and opportunities, but have to deal with the same pitfalls in life. Suspicion that there is a cuckoo chick growing up in the family arises easily from the mere obfuscation of the truth and fabrications, with which the heroes try to improve the opinion of others about themselves. However, such truth or falsity is not at all important for how a person deals with his life and how he succeeds in it. Jorika and Dalibor grew up next to each other almost like brother and sister, even though their families went against each other during the social ups and downs, but they helped each other all the more. Neither of them managed to create a working relationship and have children, and now they are thinking together how to fix it.
