The Little Fortune Teller is compiled from the best-known and lesser-known fortune-tellers, which were based on the experiences of our ancestors with the variability of the weather and reflected knowledge often related to the harvest, but also to everyday life. The observed phenomena, regularly recurring every year, often gave rise to reasonable, but sometimes amusing and even absurd creations of folk literature. The annals are arranged according to the months they relate to and are supplemented with illustrations by Jiří Trnka.
