Four more extensive short stories by Vlasta Pittnerová describe the difficult life of women in the countryside, which is by no means easy even today. The author shows the recklessness of some and the desire for a higher spiritual level in others. In her short stories, she also wrote the sad fate of a widow with small children, or a woman rejected by society for a personal downfall, but at the same time a statement about what filial love can do. In all these stories, the author describes with understanding the complexity of the life of village women, whom she herself had the opportunity to observe for many years.
