Childhood is a crucial stage of every life, and if a child lacks a loving person in the first years, it will affect his psychological development. Professor Miloš Velemínský has verified this fact many times during his long practice as a pediatrician. In his view, medicine does not only represent the care of the body. Thanks to extraordinary empathy and with the help of friends, he managed to collect a number of authentic stories whose little protagonists did not have a happy childhood. They often became helpless victims of partner battles and their fates are a memento for others. They tell about how far divorce or separation resentment can go and what damage it does to a child's soul.
"Even in a crisis, adults should act in the best interest of the child, who has the right to both parents. And they don't have to be just the people who brought them into the world. I am a supporter of social parenting," says the renowned pediatrician.
