Originally, the former police officer Anna Steinbachová wanted to enjoy a few days off and the village idyll, but she came across the corpse of a brutally tortured woman. Together with their colleague, the priest Pavel Wagner, they begin the investigation. Why did the victim have her hands tied as if she were praying? And is there any connection to the thirty-year-old series of murders?

Before Anna and Pavel find answers to these questions, another murdered woman is found. The race against time begins.
