This new Chinese textbook is intended to familiarize users with the basics of the Chinese language and Chinese characters, with the most important phenomena of Chinese history and with Chinese realities. It allows the user to actively master 90 Chinese characters, passively the remaining 246 characters, learn 544 words, learn simple phrases and negotiate in basic life situations. The set contains three volumes. The basic book introduces the basics of phonetics, teaches simple sentences and introduces writing Chinese characters. The second volume includes a dictionary for individual lessons, a reading book with supplementary texts to the basic book, conversations and summary dictionaries. The third volume contains texts for individual lessons, a copybook, tables of pinyin transcription and Czech transcription, and character and vocabulary worksheets. The set includes rich visual material and three audio CDs. The textbook is intended for all those interested in studying Chinese, preferably under the guidance of a lecturer
