The dictionary includes, in approximately 16,000 entries, 26,000 German words and phrases and 35,000 Czech equivalents of terminology from all legal fields. The emphasis is mainly on civil, criminal, commercial and European law. Latin expressions and abbreviations are also an integral part of the password book. Examples and phraseology are given in the entries, German terms are transcribed according to the new spelling rules and are provided with basic grammatical information (including accent). Contemporary legal literature of German-speaking countries, i.e. not only German, but also Austrian and Swiss, was excerpted. In addition to original legal publications, textbooks and models of legal documents, German legal dictionaries and codes were also an important source.
