It was supposed to be a great party, but when Emily Kane arrives at her sister Carrie's house, she finds only an empty house. Dinner is cooking on the stove, the TV is on. Carrie, her husband and two daughters are gone.

The police soon crack the mystery, so Emily has no choice but to turn to her ex-boyfriend David Raker, who specializes in searching for missing persons. Someone is obviously interested in her sister and her family being quickly forgotten.
