Lesser-known versions of classic fairy tales about John, devils or princesses as well as completely new fairy tales (How the Prince Learned a Thief or About Three Silk Meadows), recorded in the nineteenth century by members of the Slavia association according to folk storytellers, have been prepared for young readers by the author of the popular A Czech collection of fairy tales, nursery rhymes, riddles, proverbs and songs.
