Lacey Barnes has always dreamed of acting in a movie. And although the dream definitely included the sexiest actor in all of Hollywood, she definitely didn't imagine that her big breakthrough in the film field would come at the same time as her high school graduation. And even graduation pales in comparison to having to deal with Donavan, the uptight student her dad hired for tutoring who can be described in two words: nightmare.

Lacey is trying to somehow manage a flourishing career, sabotage right on the set and also a romance with the most unlikely protagonist of the film. And he quickly learns that sometimes the best stories happen when you deviate from the script.
