It's not that long ago that almost all of us were farmers. After all, even in 1900, around 90% of the European population lived in the countryside. Perhaps that is why we are affected by the cessation of fertile agricultural land and experience the drought in the fields and the bark beetle calamity in the forest with a heavy feeling. It would seem that we can mainly blame the weather for both, but the condition of the soils also plays a big role. We are almost certain that the future landscape will require a return to the old techniques of soil and forest care, but at the same time we will not be without the latest technologies and experiments with irrigation methods, new crops and forest trees. Thus, we begin to need a healthy nature resting on natural foundations, not as a "protective luxury", but to be able to live in a dignified environment and not have a shortage of water and food. It is not only about food and wood, but also about the local climate, the quality of underground water and the feeling of peace and sometimes even happiness or beauty that we experience in a harmonious landscape.
