In the book Traditions with the subtitle Folk customs and recipes, the magazines Venkov & styl, which has been bringing its readers a lot of reports about our traditions and customs for more than ten years, and Apetit, which for almost two decades have been offering inspiration to all those who they like to eat well and know that home comfort depends on good food and sitting together at the same table.

The customs that we try to present in the book are based on those of the church, which are linked to the given season. With the recipes, we did not set ourselves the task of sticking only to ancient recipes at all costs, because just as some habits change over time, so do the ingredients. And anyway, we also proceeded to the selection of recipes, of which you will find more than a hundred in the book. They are based on traditions and are prepared from local ingredients. We cooked them for you with love and respect and honestly tasted them. All of them, both the simple ones associated with fasting, as well as the nobler ones for the holidays, encourage you to try them and include them in your family traditions. We believe that our shared cookbook, in addition to inspiration in the kitchen, will remind you of the connection between you and your ancestors. It is important to know your roots and also want our folk traditions and customs not to become just a chapter in textbooks.
