The authors, despite having the highest professional ambitions, are primarily addressing a wider readership, to whom the work will serve as a reliable source of knowledge of our history and as an image of the current level of Czech historiography. The individual volumes are equipped with a basic note-taking apparatus, a thorough bibliography, rich pictorial and documentary material and indexes.
