In the church liturgical year, Easter is the biggest holiday, a significant part of the Czech population remembers it by their presence at church services. But we all welcome them as a symbol of the coming spring, because they bring the news of the purifying life-giving power of man and nature. They contain all the colors of the human soul - from sadness and contemplation to exuberant joy. From the life of our ancestors, we can also be inspired by the purification of the organism (small fasting), a new lifestyle trend, particularly noticeable in cities, where the human life cycle is less and less dependent on the cycle of the seasons and nature.

The book does not aim to provide a complete theological picture of the meaning of Easter, it wants to capture at least some customs and ceremonies, as well as their religious roots, to remind not only our traditions, but also those of the world, to inspire Easter interior decoration and for Lenten and festive menu to present many different recipes with a detailed description of the preparation.
