The memories of more than two hundred witnesses of the difficult year 1938 are not just a dry description of the events of that time - on the contrary, they colorfully and plastically capture the often very bitter feelings of those who were so cruelly expelled from their homes.

The book is published in the year of the eightieth anniversary of this sad event and is complemented by a historical overview by Jindřich Marek and a rich pictorial appendix by Jaroslav Čvančara.
