Nora Kinská, born in 1888, grew up in Bohemia and was brought up entirely in the spirit of the traditions of the high aristocracy. The family expected Nora to accept her proper place in society, but the young lady developed according to her own ideas. In the middle of the First World War, Nora set out on a journey to Siberia to help prisoners of war as a Red Cross nurse. The stay, which was originally planned for several months, became a long-term experience full of illness, hunger, cold and terror, but also a path to a new life...
