In 2000, the two-volume publication Personality and Bicycle was published, and in the afterword to the 2nd volume, there was a promise of a third "personality" book in the event that the first two met with favorable reader response. In the long interim period of preparation of the third sequel, the first two volumes were completely disassembled, so the publisher together with the author decided to publish all three in one voluminous volume. The name is derived from the total number, which suggests something truly extraordinary.

There are really one hundred and one of those important personalities who met with bicycles on various occasions, either as active cyclists or only in their work, in the book. If we take into account that several chapters deal with pairs - siblings (Michelin, Wright, Farman), married (Marie and Pierre Curie) or professionally related (Dehmel and Straus, V + W, Forman and Pištěk). It is a gathering of people who have excelled in their field and mostly achieved world fame (eight Nobel Prizes alone, seven film Oscars and dozens of other awards were distributed among them), people who are completely positive, deserving of admiration and respect, perhaps with the exception of a few few contradictory characters.

The formal organization of the publication is the same as in the first edition from 2000. Again, the chronological order of the chapters is preserved, given by the period in which that personality lived or lives. Once again, a brief mini-profile is included after each chapter, which only details the personality in question with a few biographical notes, and you cannot look for a detailed curriculum vitae or an exhaustive overview of the work in it. Again, the text part is accompanied by quite numerous illustrations, also in color in several appendices. However, a complete novelty is the name index at the end, containing over 500 names! So many characters are actually mentioned in the book in different contexts and in connection with important personalities.

The publication will certainly please not only cyclists and all readers related to a strong and lasting affection for the bicycle, but also those who are only interested in one of the personalities and did not know about her connection with the bicycle until now. The book does not have to be read in the usual way - from the beginning. You can open it at any place, at any name that catches your eye.
