An extraordinary audiobook capturing the stories of the heroes of the stories in the times of normalization and in the current covid era.

The short story book Konec dobrý, capturing the atmosphere of the last fifty years of our country, continues in a series of audio supraphonic versions of Irena Dousková's literary works (Hrdý Budžes, Onegin was a Russian, Goldstein writes to her daughter, Darda). Once again, we can admire the author's fundamental ability to extract from the external social situation an extraordinary experience of immersion into the inner world of the hero who experiences that situation. The first short story, for example, takes place in August 1968, and the entry of Russian troops forms an unimportant background to the problems of a little boy locked up in a hospital. In another short story, we experience with the hero his perception of the atmosphere before the funeral of Václav Havel, or we experience through the eyes of a German writer a comparison of contemporary Český Krumlov with the atmosphere of the same city at the time when the famous painter Egon Schiele lived here. The contrast of the feeling of transience and futility with the need to do things that we still consider important is brought to an almost humorous conclusion in the short story The Good Ending. Both interpreters Jan Vondráček and Eva Hacurová captured the characteristics of the author's work with a great storytelling style.
