Celebrating 50 straight years of playing and singing for our tramp and country legend! The new compilation brings a complete overview: from the beginnings in the acoustic trio, through the gradual growth of the cast and mild electrification, to the important period with Waldemar Matuška. Bandleader F. Hacker carefully selected the songs so that, in addition to all the famous ones, there were also those available for the first time on CD.
It is very pleasant to listen to Tramp classics, familiar traditional songs, American songs with Czech lyrics and songs written directly for K.T.O. Their instrumental prowess was complemented by extraordinary solo and choir vocals, partly following the pre-war music scene, but modernly transferring that mood to the last third of the 20 . century. A separate chapter is the collaboration with the Matušk family, moving the band to the top of our pop, without losing the healthy foundations from the village of Ztračenka.
K. T. O. quite often guested at American country festivals, where they certainly did not get lost. They were able to add a special "something" to the original works, refreshing even for the sedated listeners there. In our country, they were and are among the absolute best that was born in the region. Songs such as Šejdy lejdy, Posázavskej Dan, Chajda na vode, Ve sárdí koši, Marine, Treacherous banjo, Nelly Bly, I've got this color, Dot, Ohynek hoří, Whatever you do, do it with pleasure, Just admit that I miss you, Behind the hat get wrinkles or A few nights, a few sparks, partly with the singing of W. and O. Matušková or Dana Hackerová, are forever good.
