The new CD from Kryl's legacy offers songs released for the first time as well as well-known songs, plus the author's appropriate micro-recitations, all on the great theme of Love! There is no doubt that Karel Kryl was a lyricist and an ironist who was always in love and always bittersweetly evaluated those intense flare-ups. Mrs. Marlen Krylová has now prepared a compilation of archival jewels under the collective name Miláčka. A total of 18 songs from 1962 to 1978, recorded during various periods of Kryl's exile, are supplemented by nine short excerpts from the printed Amoresek, in what is forever the most authentic, because the poet's original presentation. Miss Blanche, Manona, Hanina, Kateřina or Monika are joined for the first time on this CD by Papírový defče and Marilyn Monroe to create an excellent line-up of songs, suitably supported by spoken and written verses. With the author's love theme, extraordinary drawings on the title and in the booklet complete the stylistic specialty of this project. This allows them to look a little further into the archive and offer a slightly different work of a man of many talents and a fundamental influence not only on the singer-songwriter scene.
