The life confession is openly intertwined with Vladimír Mišík's new solo album. Under the name JEDNOU TE TĚ POTKÁM, it will be released on September 20 and contains 14 songs that were created in collaboration with Blue Shadows musicians, produced by Petr Ostrouchov. After 45 years, the album of the legend of the Czech music scene without the home band ETC is headed for the market... "The whole project was created in musical harmony. And because of the sensitive themes of the songs, I consider it the most personal that I have ever created," says Vladimír Mišík, who turned 72 in March. The fascinating story accompanying the creation of the new product is reminiscent of a captivating Hollywood drama. The singer never knew his father and lived until his seventies believing he was an only child. It wasn't until the filming of the documentary two years ago revealed that the musician has eight siblings in the US. "Vladimir's father was an American soldier whom my mother met at the end of World War II. Allegedly, he died in the war in Korea, but it was not true," says Šimon Kotek from the publishing house 100PROmotion. The unexpected discovery of an extended family is the theme of Brothers. Mišík sang it for the first time in a Czech-English duet with the Irish singer-songwriter Paul Brady. Author's texts by Vladimír Mišík also meet on this album with poems set to music (Jiří Orten, Bohuslav Reynek, František Gellner, Jan Skácel...). The entire album is named after the title track JEDNOU with lyrics by the poet Václav Hrabět. "I see it as my confession. The text touches me because it doesn't just tell about meeting a girl. It can also be about that fateful, final meeting," adds the singer.
