After the excellently received collection of ballads (Královský večer CD, 2014) comes a set of variously brisk songs. However, do not expect an ordinary selection without idleness and warehouse. Singer, author and guitarist in one person, Vladimír Mišík, chose the songs and compiled them in order not chronologically or alphabetically, but according to his relationship to the recordings from the last more than forty years and his feeling for their collective listening. Here you will find songs from seven of Mišík's albums from 1976 to 2010. In addition to the title track, there are also Taxůvka, Bazar, Jednohubky, Šmajdák, Jam session and Cajun, i.e. rock songs with a flamenco flavor, classic semi-acoustic "Mišíkovka" loved by the nation, typical bittersweet blues and fun functional almost reggae or almost jiggy. The lyrics undoubtedly belong to that music: often Mišík himself, but also Jiří Suchý, Vladimír Merta or Josef Kainar. The packaging of the fourteen tracks also follows the successful non-traditional look of the previous "slow" compilation . The couple Karel Haloun and Luděk Kubík offer a nine-decade box in paper design, a 52-page booklet with a complete set of all Czech texts and their English translations, and as a significant added value, Haloun's graphics, which perfectly harmonize with Mišík's tones and words. This resulted in a wonderful continuation of the musical and artistic, but also to a large extent, human generational statement. Seemingly too strong words? But it really is, see for yourself.
