Miss Emily Arundell enjoyed her peaceful old age best with her four-legged friend, Bob. She enjoyed good health and certainly did not suffer financially either - she inherited a huge fortune. On the other hand, her relatives desperately needed money, but her aunt did not want to support them in any way. But then the "accident" happened, and the wealthy lady in years became suspicious, with which she confided in Hercule Poirot. Her letter caught the detective's attention. He received dozens of similar ones from neurotic unmarried women, but this one caught his attention already because it was written on April 17th, while the post office didn't deliver it until June 28th. He immediately decided to act and went to the given address, where he found out that the house was for sale because the owner was not alive. When investigating her allegedly natural death, how will he come to an agreement with the very special crown witness?

Based on the novel, the fourth episode of the sixth TV series Poirot was filmed, in which the famous Belgian detective was portrayed by the charming David Suchet.
