The leading Czech singer-songwriter Radůza is preparing a new venture a year after the release of the successful serial album Gaia. This time she chose an unconventional form and thus combined several of her skills. She wrote a book of stories forming a continuous storyline and supplemented each of them with a song. A kind of book musical was thus created.

"I was thinking about what to call the new literary-musical unit, and I came up with the name chansonetto, which combines chanson and romanetto, and that, I think, describes the form of the new project. The impetus for creation is a feeling of helplessness over the increasing violence in the world, over the unteachability of man, and this precisely at the time of the seventieth anniversary of the end of the Second World War," says the singer-songwriter and writer about her work.

The author describes the story of a man who, in various forms, goes through battles across the centuries. The narrative begins with the Battle of Marathon, and perhaps that is why she called it Marathon - the story of a runner.

In front of the reader-listener, human destiny unfolds as a long race, during which the human being struggles with his weaknesses and desires, but above all comes to knowledge. The storyline ends at the turn of 1945/46 in the Sudetenland, where his humanist and anti-war tone is at its peak. The project comes on the 70th anniversary of the end of the Second World War, as a reminder of how painful losses are, regardless of which side of the battle lines they are on.
