Werich's little-known fairy tale About the Yellow Man was included in the book Lincoln 1933, which was published in 1970 and - with some exceptions - no longer reached readers. Almost the entire cargo was destroyed. The audio recording of the fairy tale met a similar fate. Although the author recorded it for Supraphon as early as 1968, it was not released on CD until 1999, when Stella Zázvorková took part in its interpretation. So you are getting Werich's performance of "The Yellow Man" in the premiere only now, on this CD. It is characterized by all the merits of literary texts as well as an unrepeatable and distinctive interpretation that belongs only to Jan Werich.
