Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, perhaps the most brilliant composer of all time, the enfant terrible of society in the second half of the 18th century, loved and admired by audiences to this day, left behind an enormous body of work that lives on in concert stages and opera scenes around the world. Some compositions or their parts have literally become public property. After Forman's film Amadeus, the cult of the composer's work took on a new, unprecedented dimension.
