Another of the stories of the royal prosecutor Oldřich from Chlum takes place this time around Prague. Originally, Oldřich of Chlum and his assistants were supposed to be waiting at the court of Přemysl Otakar II. only a short statesmanship meeting, but soon after his arrival the king himself has him called in the middle of the night. A chest full of gold was lost on the way from the mines in Jílové u Prahy. The transport of the cargo with wealth worth the entire northern Bohemia was kept in strict secrecy. The gold was destined for the hands of the Austrian lords and was to play an important role in the war against the Hungarian king Béla. Suspicion falls on the leading men of the Czech kingdom.
