Klára Trnková, Jiří Trnka. The book captures traditional customs, children's games and entertainment in a Czech village over the course of one year, from spring to winter. Children will learn here what life in the village used to look like, what jobs were usual, what was eaten and what holidays our ancestors celebrated. The book is supplemented with folk songs and proverbs. The illustrations are from Jiří Trnka's puppet film Špalíček.
