New, expanded edition! The book, which has been missing on our market until now, summarizes all the basic knowledge for studying at secondary school. The literary part contains information from the history of literature from the earliest times to the present day, in addition to facts, it also presents examples from the most famous literary works, and provides insights into literary theory. In the language section, all language plans are included: phonetics, morphology, composition, word formation, spelling principles and stylistics, it provides basic knowledge of the development of Slavic languages and especially Czech. The texts are complemented by 330 illustrations with portraits of writers, art accompaniments to the books, examples of original editions and period realities, newspapers and magazines, as well as photographs from film adaptations of literary works. Such a comprehensive overview of the high school subject of Czech language and literature can serve as a textbook and reading book directly during classes and especially as an important guide for all high school graduates when repeating the material for the oral matriculation exam from this subject.
