Surgeon at the border hospital MUDr. Hynek Grábl found himself at a standstill and balancing his unhappy professional and personal situation. His career as a top expert at a Prague clinic was cut short by a drunken car accident - and now not only he is suffering the consequences, but also his eternally dissatisfied wife, whom he can't even like anymore, and his teenage children, who are acutely aware of the crisis. Neither life nor family finances show a favorable balance sheet, and all the symptoms of a midlife crisis are lurking on tomorrow's horizon. However, the hero's quest to find a way out is more like a roller coaster ride and more than once ends with a hangover. Will it help him find a relationship with his aging parents, get a lover or make himself grow professionally? In and out of the operating room, it is usually difficult to tell who is playing what game, who is the winner, who is the loser and where to where. Hynk often has no choice but to believe that he will not sink to the bottom.
