Widow and newly retired Nina, who loves literature and her small dog, lives a peaceful life in her parents' house with her brother Radek, whom she refuses to understand. She is the mother of an only son who left for Latin America years ago. She only sees him, his wife and daughter via Skype. Her life changes when a new family moves into the street. She gets closer to their daughter Gábina, but she is adversely affected by the efforts of Gábina's father, the owner of a real estate company, to buy their house. The disagreement with his brother is exacerbated by his agreement to the sale. The serious accident of her son, together with the concern for her own health, brings Nina back many years to a traumatic situation with which she has not come to terms with to this day. However, Nina has to deal with a new problem, which is more serious than the painful impossibility of living in the ancestral home...
