The war in Kosovo is over, Milosevic is surrounded and Serbian troops have left. Refugees return home and international peacekeepers take over. The Italian contingent settles near a Serbian Orthodox monastery and a village whose inhabitants have decided to stay and not leave the war zone. The military duty is to establish peace, but everything is complicated by the arrival of more refugees. The biggest problem, however, is a detachment of Serbian special forces who refused to surrender and are hiding in the area.
