The first part of the trilogy The Secret Diary shows the sovereign's life comprehensively through memories of his childhood, his parents, all four wives and his descendants. The second, subtitled Emperor and Empress, focuses on the imperial coronation and the union with the last wife, Elizabeth. The third part The Emperor and the Sons focuses on the relationship of the "father of the country" to his successor Václav and to other sons from other marriages, as well as to the left-sided one.


In 2017, the trilogy will expand into the Luxembourg pentalogy, which will also include the VÁCLAV IV audiobooks. and ZIKMUND of Luxembourg.
