The pictorial publication consisting mainly of unique photographs from the personal archive of the actress Lída Baarová brings to light the lesser-known period of her life after her departure for emigration in 1948. From a famous First Republic and Protectorate celebrity with a controversial reputation, she becomes a character actress in exile who collaborates with the directors of the Italian neorealism, films in Madrid and performs on Austrian and German theater stages, where he has a huge success with, for example, Čapková's "Vecí Makropulos". The book presents another, almost unknown in the Czech Republic, image of the actress who was able to overcome the heavy blows of fate. Extensive visual material from the extensive archive of collector Jiří Tauchen also includes dozens of images from lesser-known films that Lída Baarová shot in Germany and Italy between 1934 and 1944.
