The public knew him only as a hero from the famous Dakar Rally. Lukáš Kvapil helped a seriously injured rival at the toughest motor race, for which he later paid the price himself due to exhaustion. However, after returning home he collected fair play awards, was given the label "Knight of Dakar", unaware that the professional soldier who participated in three missions was suffering from post-traumatic stress syndrome.
