The novel Meze rozorané belongs to the most dramatic prose works by Vlasta Javořická. It shows the fate of the peasant family Přecechtělova from the Bohemian-Moravian Highlands, its struggles, relationship to the land, losses, humiliation, emotional and love relationships. And of course also the fates of other characters. The novel has been published only once so far, more than ten years ago, and is now scarcely available and sought after by numerous readers.
