Do you know the movie The Groundhog Day One Day More, in which Bill Murray wakes up repeatedly on the same day? Who among us has not sighed: "Oh, I wish I could turn back time, I would do everything differently!" And the main character of Christina Lauren's book A Day More for Christmas will get exactly this chance. Maelyn gets stuck in a time loop, so she keeps going back to December 21st, when she and her parents and brother arrive at their beloved cabin, where they celebrate Christmas every year with family friends. This time, however, it is supposed to be the last Christmas. The cottage will be for sale. Christmas is perfect for rituals, but would you really enjoy falling down the stairs over and over again, having your favorite sweater chewed up by the dog, breaking a tooth several times in a row on a hellishly hard failed cookie, drunkenly making out awkwardly with someone you really don't want to be with, and longing in vain for someone you really care about? And imagine the horror when you walk through an airport terminal and you know perfectly well what will happen in the next second. And it will actually happen. What's going on? Maybe she just imagines that! Is the universe making her a good day? Has she gone mad for good? This is not normal! Call the doctor! Maelyn has a crush on teenager Theo, but as it turns out, Maelyn loves his brother Andrew, who doesn't seem to love anyone. When the initial shock of déjà vu wears off and Mae accepts the fact that she keeps going back in time, she sees it as an opportunity to win Andrew's heart - what didn't work last time, she'll avoid it this time and try it differently. Will she be able to bag Andrew? And will he ever break out of the time loop? What about the cottage? Who will buy it in the end?
