Can a broken tongue be considered the signature of a serial killer?

The unexplained death of 20-year-old Lucia Martinova, the beloved daughter of a good family, represents the sixth of seven cases of unsolved murders that have become the subject of Enzo Macleod's bet with journalist Roger Raffin. The bones of the victim were found after fourteen long years in the French department of Lot-et-Garonne in the cracked mud at the bottom of a suddenly dried up lake. The manner of the girl's suffocation, carried out with such force that the tongue in her throat broke into three parts, corresponded to the style of the then infamous multiple killer Blanco, who, however, proved to be an irrefutable alibi at the critical time. Or is something wrong here? This time too, Enzo sets out to look for long-lost clues in order to convict the murderer, even though he never imagined in his wildest dreams what dramas his investigation would unleash and what he would uncover during the search...
