The landscape in Moravské Kopanice, like other similar ones, offers people a feeling of freedom of body and spirit. It was imprinted in every meadow, tree, forest, stream, well, hill and the view from it. Folk magic and superstition have been preserved here longer than elsewhere. Until the end of the 20th century, goddesses and folk witches worked here, helping people to heal their bodies and minds. You will no longer find them in their original authentic form in Kopanice.
Efforts are emerging to revive ancient knowledge as a path to the survival of human civilization. Therein lies the hope for the future. Perhaps this is also why the almost forgotten legend of the Žitkov goddesses has resurfaced.
