A novel written by life itself. This is how the story of Kateřina and her family could be described. In the book, she describes her childhood and growing up in communist Czechoslovakia, her move to Belgium to join her husband in the early 1990s, and the birth of her four children. They have a happy and beautiful life until their 16-year-old daughter Karolína falls ill with NMDAR autoimmune encephalitis, gradually stops talking, loses her memory and her personality. An almost eight-year hell begins that marks them all. How will it turn out in the end? Will Karolina recover? And what about her mother Kateřina? Will he begin to perceive the world around him differently? You can also read about this in the book, which shows that there are always ways to pull yourself out of the bottom and breathe again.
