Retro ČS will take the reader back to the years of socialist consumerism - to things of daily consumption that accompanied (or, in the shortage socialist economy, on the contrary did not accompany) the average citizen of Czechoslovakia. The colorful visual accompaniment will allow everyone to recall the era of four decades before 1989.

The author uses the richness of his personal archive, which is certainly one of the most extensive in our country. With the help of his own experience and on the basis of period advertising, he is trying to at least partially reconstruct the shelves of socialist convenience stores.

The Iron Curtain meant civil servitude, but also the safety of the reservation for original domestic production and specific brands. Those that we threw away in the post-revolutionary euphoria as passionately as we enthusiastically return to them after being fed up with the global ones. The book offers pictures of what you liked, whether in your mouth or in a child's room, where not one of the toys came from China.
